So, today was my LAZY Saturday, and by lazy I mean lazier than I have been all week seeing as I could do whatever I wanted to. Today I started by waking up at the crack of afternoon just in time to go eat lunch with some sweet friends! (Kicking myself for not remembering to get a picture with them!) I ate lunch with my long time buddy Riley and his sweet girlfriend Katie at the one and only Ajax. Yum! Lunch was INCREDIBLE, of course, and made time for some great conversation! I just can't wait to have another friend up here at Ole Miss with me next year! :)
After lunch I went and got some work done. Thankfully it was not school work, but my actually photography assistant job that I love very much. That is typically very satisfying and enjoyable because I love what I do and hope to be a professional photographer, myself. You have to start somewhere! After finishing up my work I decided to swing by the music store and get myself a capo for my guitar seeing as I never really got around to getting one. This was a must seeing as I'm tired of playing the same 2 songs over and over and over, etc. That and I have no desire to just do a whole bunch of barre chords. I got slightly tickled when the guy who was working made a face when I came in and knew exactly what I wanted and that I could in fact play the guitar. I don't think he gets that too much around here in Oxford.
Anyways! My guitar is now complete and I spent the remainder of my day playing various new songs with my snazzy new capo trying to decide which one I want to learn next. Now don't judge me for these choices, but I have decided to learn both "Fifteen" by Taylor Swift and "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus. I promise, they are very pretty on the acoustic guitar! So needless to say, the reason why this post is entitled "OUCH!" is because my fingers hurt VERY badly. Hopefully they'll get tougher soon!
